Fwah!

Well, I’m back from the San Juans. Some of you might know that I took off to the San Juan Islands in Washington recently, with my mom and my grandma, and I met *SaphireTheFortunate and her mom there as well. =3 It was TONS- no wait… OODLES (I like that word ) of fun. And fwah, I have sooooo many stories to tell. If you happen to read ALL of this… well, I applaud you. xD Your patience is appreciated. Anyways, I’ll list all the days and what happened on this awesome vacation. It was one for the record books, that’s for sure. Enjoy my stories about the San Yawn… er, sorry, San JUAN Islands! (One of our MANY inside jokes, you had to have been there. )

June 19th, Friday

Alrighty, so… well, I woke up at 4:30 in the morning. Yay me. =B Aaaaand I had a bowl of cereal, which is pretty much the only solid meal I had all day until around six in the evening, which is actually Washington time, so around nine my time… yar. Hehe, I was on a steady diet of trail mix until then. ANYWAYS, I’m getting off track.

So our (our meaning me, my mom, and my grandma) first flight left a little late, so we had to rush allll the way over to the other side of the airport to get to our next one. And that flight ended up being alright and on time. But we wanted to see if we could make the noon shuttle at the airport, so we rushed to get our bags and walked fast to get on the shuttle. Then… well I thought we missed the ferry to Friday Harbor, but the ferry was actually late. So we got on that, barely, like everything else that happened that day. I swear, we just had luck after luck after luck.

So we got to Friday Harbor and I was SO ready to meet Kristina and her mom. So I was looking frantically for them. My mom actually recognized them right away, and she’s only seen a few pictures of her for like ten seconds. But yeah, I recognized them too, and I walked as fast as I could to give her an awesomely awesome hug… which was awesomely awesome I might add. We went to my family’s hotel and dropped stuff off, and then we went to eat at this Chinese place which was pretty good. Kristina had a great drawing to show everyone, which was this- [link] =3

Then I went with Kristina and her mom to their hotel. We watched whale wars and exchanged a few gifts. Twas fun. Aaaand then I had to go home because my mom and grandma were tired, and I don’t blame them. So I gave her another hug… aaaaand took off to my hotel. Phew! What a day. :3

June 20th, Saturday

Well, this was quite eventful indeed. xD We met Kristina and her mom at the whale museum, which was just epic… fwah, I could have stayed there all day. The gift shop was just amazing, and Kristina and I had as much fun as we could before her mom wanted to move on. But we went back there like every day of the week. xD Over the course that we were there, I bought a Whale Museum Sweatshirt, a 2010 calendar, some postcards, and a photo to put in my room.

The main museum hall was awesome, especially the huge orca hanging in it… fwah. OMG, and the phone booth! It was funny, because you’d press a button to hear the whales, and there would be this mechanical voice saying “This is a *insert species here plz*” Haha, and we had fun with that. Yeah, that was really fun… and that was pretty much all before noon.

We went to a restaurant called the Cannery House. And we saw skirts… er, kilts. Kristina and I had to move tables because we were scared of a bee. Hehe, but it was an alright salad. Then my mom and grandma went off somewhere, and Kristina and I started our fun… wahaha, this is the good part.

We went to the arctic raven gallery, which just had the most amazing art evar. And then… we went to this shirt place and saw some of my awesome ‘Mountain’ t-shirts there. I ended up buying one the day before my family left; It says “ENDANGERED” and has drawings of a whole bunch of animals on it. Then we went to the Cannery Landing, where the gift shop and the book store were. xD I can’t even put all the stuff we did there in this journal, because you’d just never finish it. =B But we had a whole bunch of inside jokes after that. Look, a FROG!

Haha, and then… oh! We had a pizza, and then went to OrcaSing at Lime Kiln Lighthouse. Unfortunately, the orcas didn’t come… but they came… sometime else. xD Oh, and that seal wouldn’t stop mocking Kristina. Cause every time she’d pull her camera out, it’d go underwater. We stood for most of it… and yawned. Yeah, that was fun, even if the orcas didn’t come. Yep, that’s about what we did that day. Fwah, but it was an awesome day.

June 21st, Sunday

This was perhaps the most awesome day on the trip. No, it was definitely the best day of the trip. =3 Well, first Kristina and I went back to the whale museum. And we had some lunch at this grill… which needs to learn to read over their menus. xD Because the taco salad said green onions twice. Anyways, I’m getting off track, but that’s just me.

Then… *cue dramatic music, like the stuff that was playing at the Friday Harbor airport the day Kristina left* the whale watch! Wah, that was the most epic whale watch we could have possibly been on. We saw a super pod!! Members from J, K, and L pods were there, and we saw… Georgia, Ruffles, Mega, Riptide, L-94, and even Kristina’s Cappuccino! And they were breaching, wah! We just HAD to hug each other the first time we saw that. So yeah, the very best whale watch I’ve ever been on. If you wanna book a whale watch anytime soon, go with San Juan Excursions… it was the best. =3

So we got back from that, and… I don’t remember what we did. xD Oh! My grandma was tired so she went back to the hotel, so the rest of us drove around the island. We ate in Roche Harbor, and then went back to Lime Kiln. We didn’t see any orcas, but it was still relaxing. Then my mom was in confusement about how to get back. xD But yeah… I loved Sunday.

June 22nd, Monday

This day, we travelled to Orcas Island to go to the state park there. Heh, we had a pretty good lunch in Eastsound, and then we went to FROG HEAVEN… I swear, they were everywhere in there. So I bought some frog stickers for us both. Yay for the purple peach! (It’s actually a grape, but the package wants to disagree with me >.> Then we went to Moran, which was absolutely beautiful. The waterfall was amazing, but it was tiring and hard to get back up. Fwah, beautiful though. Then we went to Obstruction Pass (kind of an oxymoron, don’tcha think?) and walked a trail.

And after that we went back to Orcas Village and had some dinner. Kristina fell asleep on my shoulder on the way back to Orcas village. She said I was comfeh. And her shoulder isn’t to bad either. Kristina had some pretty bad motion sickness. But we got on the ferry and she seemed fine then. That was about it for that day. Long, but it was fun.

June 23rd, Tuesday

Sadly, it was time for Kristina to leave. We took Kristina and her mom to the airport. I said goodbye and I love you and gave her my bracelet that I made for her for good luck, and gave the biggest wave I could possibly give as she left on her plane. She later remarked that it was a really awesome wave. xD And she was waving but I didn’t see.

As for my family, we went back to Lime Kiln, had a picnic, went to the English camp, which was interesting, went to some gift shops, got some food, went to bed, and that was about it. Wasn’t the same without Kristina.

June 24th, Wednesday

… This was just a long travel day. I’ll leave it at that.


Wow, what a vacation. Kristina, I swear, she was exactly as I pictured her in my head. It was just like meeting an old friend when I saw her. And the time we spent, those moments were some of the most amazing I’ve ever experienced and probably ever will. It was great, just… phenomenal. And to see Kristina and meet her mom and see that she trusts me, and… well, it was just fantastic. It’s really hard to describe it, because I can picture everything in my head, but it’s moments like those that you can’t really put into words. It was just amazing (sorry Kristina, America ) to spend time with my favorite gal in the entire Earthness. Yes, Earthness.

Well, I wish I could spend more time there, but I’m glad I’m home. It went by so quick! But it was fun. Probably the most fun I’ll ever have in my lifetime. Kristina, you’re a fantastic gal, and I want ya to know that. I love you. =3
